About Parameter

The under-eye region is a delicate area where lines form. These wrinkles result primarily from the repetitive contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle—a circular sphincter muscle responsible for closing the eyelids, squinting, and smiling. Initially appearing as dynamic wrinkles that crease the skin during facial expressions, they can eventually become permanent static wrinkles that are visibly etched into the skin even when the face is completely at rest.

Features

1. Works with frontal and side facial images, but we recommend measuring from frontal images since lines are more visible there

2. Evaluates overall severity (grade) of lines
