# Recommendations View in Consumer App

How Recommendation System 2.0 presents product recommendations to end users in the Consumer App.

The Recommendations View is how [Product Recommendation System 2.0](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/product-recommendation-system-2.0.md) presents results to end users in the [Consumer Apps](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/consumer-apps.md). It shows products from the [Product Shelf](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/product-recommendation-system-2.0/product-shelf.md) attached to the app, matched to each user's analysis results and survey answers.

The view works the same way for skincare and haircare apps. What differs is the product categories and the routine steps, so each app type has its own page:

* [Face Skin Recommendations](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/product-recommendation-system-2.0/recommendations-view-in-consumer-app/face-skin-recommendations.md) — routine and product categories for the Skin (face) Consultant app.
* [Hair Recommendations](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/product-recommendation-system-2.0/recommendations-view-in-consumer-app/hair-recommendations.md) — routine and product categories for the Hair Consultant app.

To attach a product shelf to a Consumer App, see [Create a Consumer App](/haut.ai/quick-start-guides/no-code-app-for-e-commerce-businesses/create-consumer-app.md#attaching-product-recommendation) in the [No-Code App for e-Commerce Businesses](/haut.ai/quick-start-guides/no-code-app-for-e-commerce-businesses.md) quick start.

## Presentation modes

Recommendations are shown in one of two modes.

### Routine View

Products are grouped into a step-by-step routine that targets the user's identified concerns. Each step maps to a product category and is shown only when it contains at least one recommended product. The available steps and their order depend on the app type — see the app-specific pages above.

A routine can also include:

* **Promo product** — a promo block with a single promo product.
* **You may also like** — recommended products that were selected but are not part of the routine.

### List View

Products are shown as one scrollable list, without grouping, ordered by how well each product matches the user.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.saas.haut.ai/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/product-recommendation-system-2.0/recommendations-view-in-consumer-app.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
