# Create a Consumer App

This page describes how to setup the Consumer App widget for your e-commerce web store

[Consumer Apps](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/consumer-apps.md) is a feature of the Haut.AI SaaS Platform, offering a no-code widget for skin analysis and recommendations.

To set up a new Consumer App, you need:

1. Start a new app, see [#creating-new-app](#creating-new-app "mention").
2. Connect with Product Recommendations, see [#attaching-product-recommendation](#attaching-product-recommendation "mention").
3. Upload your Terms & Conditions for end users, see [#attaching-terms-and-conditions-and-privacy-policy-for-end-users](#attaching-terms-and-conditions-and-privacy-policy-for-end-users "mention").
4. Preview app as end-user, see [#previewing-your-consumer-app](#previewing-your-consumer-app "mention").

## Creating new app

1. Navigate to the [Consumer Apps](https://saas.haut.ai/app/skin-consultant/dashboard) tab on the menu of the SaaS platform.
2. Click on the “Create new app” button in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. Select the type of the application you want to create. Currently Haut.AI supports creating two types of applications: for facial skin and for hair.
4. Enter the name for your new app and proceed to the settings.
5. Select the application that you want to use for your application.

## Attaching product recommendation

In the previous step [Add Product Items to Product Inventory](/haut.ai/quick-start-guides/no-code-app-for-e-commerce-businesses/add-product-items-to-product-inventory.md) you already created and filled the shelf for product recommendation. This step describes how to connect your product items <> skin concern logic to skin analysis experience.

1. Navigate to your Consumer App details by clicking on the name of your app in the list of apps. Open the `General` settings tab.
2. Click on the Product shelf drop-down menu.
3. Select your recently filled Product Shelf.<br>

4. Click `Save changes` button on the bottom right corner.

Without the product shelf selected, the Consumer App will show only skin analysis results and do not provide any product recommendation.

## Attaching terms and conditions and privacy policy for end-users

Performing skin analysis requires personal data in the form of user photos to be collected and processed. Some countries require the explicit disclosure of the processors listed in the Terms and Conditions document.

Please note that the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy document must comply with the legal requirements in your company's main markets of operations.

1. Navigate to your Consumer App details by clicking on the name of your app in the list of apps.
2. Open the `General` settings tab.
3. Scroll down to the `Documents` section.<br>

4. To upload `Terms and Conditions` or `Privacy Policy` click on the `Upload` button. Select your document for upload. Currently, Consumer App supports uploading only PDFs.
5. If you want to require explicit acceptance of uploaded documents before user can proceed, check the `Require user agreement before proceeding` checkbox.
6. Click the `Save changes` button on the top right corner.

## Previewing your Consumer App

There are two ways to previous your Consumer App from a user perspective by opening it as a separate page:

1. Scan the QR code with your smartphone camera to open the Consumer App as a separate page on your smartphone.<br>

## FAQ

### How many Consumer Apps can I create?

You have an unlimited number of apps that you can create.

### Can I deactivate the Consumer Apps?

Yes, you can either delete or deactivate the Consumer App you are not using.

1. Navigate to [Consumer Apps](https://saas.haut.ai/app/skin-consultant/dashboard) tab on the menu of SaaS platform.
2. Navigate to your Consumer App details by clicking on name of your app in the list of apps.
3. Open the `General` settings tab.
4. Change status from `Running` to `Stopped`.
5. Click `Save changes` button on the bottom right corner.

### What is the best strategy to support multiple markets with different products?

As the Consumer App supports attachment of only one product shelf, the best strategy would be:

1. Create several different product shelves, one shelf per market. Follow the same guide [Create and Configure Product Shelf](/haut.ai/quick-start-guides/no-code-app-for-e-commerce-businesses/create-and-configure-product-shelf.md) for each product shelf.
2. Create several Consumer Apps, give them names of your markets.
3. Attach relevant product shelves to Consumer Apps for different markets.

### Can I make my users explicitly accept the Terms and Conditions, instead of just being able to access the file?

Yes. When you upload your documents, check the `Require user agreement before proceeding` checkbox to require users to explicitly accept them before they can continue. ### Can you provide me with a Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy template?

Unfortunately, this option is not supported at this moment.

The main reason is that there are many countries, and each has its own unique and actively developing legislation about personal data protection. At the same time, Haut.AI does not limit you as a client in the creation of different Survey questions.
