# Version 2026-20

## Release date

May 14, 2026

## Studies

Version 2026-20 improves the Study tool for multilingual participant journeys and more flexible study schedules.

### Participant-facing localization

The end-user Study tool now supports translations and localization for participant-facing pages.

* Participant-facing Study screens can now use localized interface text.
* Existing Study setup and API integrations do not require changes.

Learn more: [Studies](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/studies.md) and [Study Interface for Participants](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/studies/participants-point-of-view.md).

### Flexible stage gaps

Study schedules can now include gaps between flexible stages. A gap is a period when participants do not need to upload photos and cannot submit study photos.

* Use gaps for waiting periods, washout periods, product-use periods, or other pauses between photo collection stages.
* Gaps are included in the participant's study timeline and affect the total study duration.
* During a gap, no photo submission is required.

Learn more: [Create New Study](/haut.ai/haut.ai-features/studies/step-1.md#flexible-stages).

### Enrollment window control

Study setup now supports an enrollment window value of `0`, which disables the enrollment window.

This is useful for studies where participants are managed directly and should not have a separate open enrollment period.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.saas.haut.ai/haut.ai/releases/changelog/version-2026-20.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
