Creating and managing levels

  • Navigate to the effect's page.

  • Click "Create level" in the top-right corner.

  • Add the level description

    • Add the level "Name"

    • (optional) Add the period. Period is the point in time after starting to use a skincare product when a specific effect or benefit becomes clearly noticeable or reaches a consistent phase.

    • (optional) Add the level description.

  • If you want, you could start with the template. To do so, toggle the "Use template" and select the template from the dropdown.

  • Click "Create".

Set the Level Parameters

  • Navigate to the effect's page.

  • Open the level's page.

  • Adjust the level parameters. Read more about the available simulation parameters: Parameters of Simulations.

  • Click on the "Save" to save the changes.

Test the Level

Effect level testing allows you to preview how a specific parameter (e.g., +50, -100) will appear across different skin conditions or face types.

You can choose from a set of preselected test photos or upload your own image to simulate the effect.

The selected image is used for testing purposes only:

  • Images are not stored or saved.

  • Testing does not count against API usage quotas.

This functionality is designed for fast experimentation, prototyping, and internal QA without affecting your production data or billing.

To test the level:

  • Navigate to the effect's page.

  • Open the level's page.

  • Select or upload the image

  • Click "Generate variation"

Edit Level

To edit the effect:

  • Navigate to the effect's page.

  • To add or change level, click on a row to go to the level page

  • Set up the parameters and click "Save".

Publish the Level

For SkinGPT to generate an image, the effect’s internal levels must be published. There are two options to attach the effect to the dataset.

Option 1

  • Navigate to the effect's page.

  • Click on the "..." button and then click "Publish".

Option 2

  • Navigate to the effect's page.

  • Open the level's page.

  • Click on the "Publish" button in the top-right corner.
