Enlarged Pores

What the Enlarged Pores parameter counts, the area threshold that separates them from all visible pores, and the output it returns.

About Parameter

The parameter detects and counts enlarged pores—visibly dilated sebaceous-gland openings that can affect skin smoothness and overall appearance. Pore size is primarily influenced by genetics, but excess sebum, dead skin buildup, and age-related loss of elasticity also contribute to their enlargement. Enlarged pores are reported as a subset of all detected pores, separated by an area threshold applied to each pore.

Features

  1. Per-zone analysis across nose, forehead, left cheek, and right cheek.

  2. Eye and mouth (perioral) regions are excluded from analysis.

  3. Works with a single front image or a 3-side triplet (front, left, right).

Output

  1. Number of enlarged pores for the whole face and broken down by zone (nose, forehead, left cheek, right cheek).

  2. Vector mask of enlarged pores, returned per available side (front, left, right).
