Jowls

What the Jowls parameter detects along the jawline, and how to read the grades and condition tags it returns.

About Parameter

This parameter detects and evaluates the presence of jowls—sagging skin and soft tissue along the jawline—commonly associated with aging and loss of skin elasticity. This parameter helps assess lower face contour changes and the effectiveness of lifting or firming treatments.

Features

  1. Works with 1 and 3 side facial images.

Output

  1. Grade from 1 to 5.

  2. Algorithm-assigned skin condition tag (Great, Good, Average, Poor).

Jowls does not return a mask of its own. To visualise the jawline area, use the mask returned by the parent Sagging parameter.
