More metrics for selfie analysis! We've added the ability to estimate acne, pigmentation, sagging, dark circles, and lacrimal grooves.
More accurate algorithms! We've improved how we calculate eye bags, pores, redness, uniformness, and wrinkles.
Scales for all metrics are now unified! A score of 0 means the skin parameter was recognized as a poor condition and a score of 100 means it’s in excellent condition. The unified logic means it is even easier to build business logic and give your customer an excellent user experience.
New and improved areas for viewing the algorithms’ output! With anatomical zones, you can more accurately match a skin condition to a specific area. We’ve also added nose and chin areas as separate zones!
Raster masks have now been replaced with vector masks! Vectors take up less digital storage space, are faster to transfer, and can be customized to suit your branding.
We hope you are as excited as we are about this amazing update! We have prepared answers to some of the most common questions about the Face Skin Metrics 2.0 app below.
Yes, you can! Go to the Applications tab → choose Face Skin Metrics 2.0 → click the “Attach application” button, and choose your dataset (it can have Face Skin Metrics 1.0 attached already). Set “Process old images” if you want Face Skin Metrics 2.0 to process the images you already had in this dataset. Otherwise, it will process only the new images that are added.
You can also attach the Face Skin Metrics 2.0 app via the API, as shown in this guide.
Currently, there is no detach procedure for the apps, but this will be available in the middle of May. You can always set up a new dataset for your data stream and attach Face Skin Metrics 2.0 to it.
There are a couple of ways to access these results:
Get your results via the API, as shown in this guide.
Manually download a .csv from the Dataset page. Go to the Datasets tab → choose the dataset → click the “Download as CSV” button.
At the end of May, the results visualization will also appear on the Reports page in the Datasets tab. Right now, you cannot see the results of the Face Skin Metrics 2.0 app in the user interface.
No! The endpoint is a URL to call the API, and it remains the same for Face Skin Metrics 2.0 algorithms. The output of the Face Skin Metrics 2.0 algorithms has changed. For further details, please see here.
Also, you will need to use the new AppId 8b5b3acc-480b-4412-8d2c-ebe6ab4384d7 instead of the old one.
The new versions of the Face Skin Metrics 2.0 app algorithms have a new output format, which is described here. Developers will need to extract data from the new JSON schema format.
We've also developed a new API for our skin diary to return the history of a user’s parameters for a given time range.
Update your study texts and surveys, even if the study has already started.
New survey question type! Ask your participants questions and get their answers in text format.
