This page describes advanced settings, allowing for higher degree of user experience customization.

Advanced settings of Skin Consultant app allows for high degree of customization to different use cases.

Accessing Advanced Settings

Navigate to Skin consultant tab on the menu of SaaS platform.
Navigate to your Skin Consultant App details by clicking on name of your app in the list of apps.
Open the (4) Advanced tab.

Good for: building a viral UGC content

Sharing works only on smartphone devices, tablet devices, and Safari browser on MacBooks.

For the users who access the Skin Consultant via any other device/browser, the "Share results" button will not be visible.

This setting allows users to share the skin analysis results as a PNG image via sharing options available on their devices.

Photo retention

Critical for compliance with data protection practices and laws.

This setting allows to select the time how long the original images collected by your users via Skin Analysis will be stored. There are 2 options available at the moment:

Forever (default option)

All the uploaded images will be stored for an indefinite period of time and be accessible at any moment.

Please, note, that there is a Quota for Data Storage included in your plan. Exceeding the quota will lead to an additional recurrent fee on the exceeding amount of data stored. Check the page for more details.

One Day

All the uploaded images will be stored for maximum 24 hours.

If you set the retention period to One Day, then after this time:

Photo will be deleted without an option to recover.
Downloading the PDF report, skin samples, and blocked eyes from SaaS B2b portal will not be available for this photo.

Results of the skin analysis and survey answers will still be available for an indefinite period of time.

DANGER ZONE: When you switch this setting to One Day, all images, collected prior to 24 hours before will be deleted at the same moment.

Switching back to Forever after One Day will not restore previosly deleted images.

Camera for taking photos

Good for: building offline experience with specialist available, i.e. using Skin Consultant app in skin clinics

You can choose which camera (front or back) of the device users can use for taking photos. Consider the following suggestions:

“Front camera” is the best option for selfies if you want your customers to take their photos for the skin analysis themselves. They can see the instructions easily on the screens of their devices.
“Back camera” is the best option if you’d like to use the Skin Consultant app on-site. For example, you’d like your specialists to take photos of your customers with an iPad in your salon, store, etc.

Product labels

By default, the product labels from the “Recommendation engine” are displayed in the recommendations. You can hide these labels if needed. To do this, switch this setting from “Show” to “Hide.”

Labels will only be hidden in the recommendations block. But they will be displayed in the "You may also like" block

Returning user experience

Show your clients how their skin metrics have changed over the last 90 days. By allowing customers to see changes in skin condition over time, you can clearly show the effect of your products.

User recognition will work in the following cases:

if the user has opened the service from the same browser as before
browser settings allow the use of cookies
the user has at least 1 measurement in the past 90 days

Metric values

Choose whether to show numeric or colour-coded results of the Skin Analysis.

Stars on “Excellent” masks

Show or hide the display of "stars" if the result of the metric result is 90 or higher

Show price

Show or hide prices for product recommendations and routines. We recommend showing prices, as it leads to higher conversion rates.

Show routines

There are two options for showing product recommendations on the results pages: routines or a simple list of products by group. Routines are a step-by-step guide to a personalized daily skincare routine. They feature a selection of carefully curated, daily-use skincare products that complement each other and target identified concerns.

LIQA is a smart camera, that helps your customers collect only high-quality photos.

New version of LIQA brings:

Use two-devices flow

The two-device flow allows your users to start a session on a desktop or laptop, use their smartphone as a camera to take a high-quality picture easily and return to their open session on a desktop or laptop to review the skin analysis results and purchase the products on a large screen.

Installation

Your Skin Consultant app can be saved as a native application on a smartphone device with just 1 click by your customer. This makes it easier for your customers to return to the Skin Analysis directly from their phone’s home screen.

Note that this works only for iOS and Android mobile devices and Chrome browsers for MacOS and Windows.

Translation

The Skin Consultant App supports more than 20 languages. By default, the application switches to the language of the user's device if it is supported by the system; otherwise, the Skin Consultant app will be in English. You can override this functionality by limiting your Skin Consultant app to always be displayed in one selected language.

The setting does not affect the b2b portal, the PDF reports, the survey questions, or the product names that you manually entered.

Customize metrics

Hide or rename skin metrics and their descriptions for end users. Note that hidden metrics are still processed and available for you in the dataset.

Note that for renamed metrics, the automatic translation feature is not applied. Note that for renamed metrics, the enforced translation also does not apply.

Text during skin analysis

You can change the text that is shown during skin analysis.

Note that the replaced text would not be translated using the auto-translation feature or enforced translation.

Skin facts and tips

Skin facts are facts about the skin and its health that are shown during the analysis of the photo. You can replace these facts with your own texts (up to 5).

Note that when replaced with custom texts, the skin facts would not be translated using the auto-translation feature or enforced translation.

Skin masks

By default, the Skin Consultant app shows a mask on the user's photo to highlight problems. We recommend that you do not disable the display of masks because they help the user see skin problems and improve engagement and conversion.
