This parameter assesses the visibility of melasma, which presents as symmetrical brown or gray-brown patches on the face, particularly on the cheeks, forehead, upper lip, nose, and chin. These patches typically become more noticeable with sun exposure, hormonal changes (such as pregnancy or birth control use), and can vary in intensity based on genetic predisposition and environmental factors.

  1. Density in per mille (‰) for the whole face and specific facial regions: nose, forehead, left eye, right eye, perioral, left cheek, right cheek.
