Bulk Import from Shopify

In a previous step Adding product items by bulk import you got to this menu

In this step, we will perform an import procedure of all product items from Shopify.

  1. Select the Product Shelf you want to add the products.

    1. if you want to add products to the new shelf, click on the "Shelf" dropdown

    2. Then select "Add new shelf" and add a shelf name.

  2. Go to your Shopify store website.

  3. Copy the URL to it, for example: https://www.yourshopify.com.

  4. Paste it to the "Your store URL" field.

  5. Select currency of products in your store. Each shelf can only contain 1 currency.

  6. Click "Import products."

  7. You will receive a notification that the product import is complete. New/updated product items will appear in your Product Inventory.

  8. Once imported, each product will be tagged automatically with AI. Check Product Tags for more information.

FAQ

What products will be imported?

SaaS automatically identifies all Product Items with " Active " status in Shopify and imports them to SaaS Product Inventory.

What happens if I re-import products?

If you select the "Overwrite existing products" checkbox during the import procedure:

  1. SaaS will import all product items from Shopify

  2. Product Items that already exist in SaaS Product Inventory will be compared by the Vendor Code property (see Supported Product Item Properties) with the imported product items.

  3. For matching products, all properties will be overwritten by values from imported products.

  4. For new products (not previously uploaded to SaaS Product Inventory), the new Product Items will be created in SaaS Product Inventory.

Example:

  • You have SaaS Product Inventory with: Product A and Product B

  • You have Shopify Store with:

    • Product B and Product C having status "Active" in Shopify,

    • Product A and Product D having status "Draft" im Shopify.

When you trigger a new import from the same Shopify Store to SaaS Product Inventory, you will get this result:
