Switch to the Recommendation System 2.0

Changes when switching from the old recommendation system to the new one

You can switch from the new recommendation system to the old at any time.

After the transition to the new recommendation system, the following will happen:

• All Skin Consultant Apps that used the old recommendation system will be automatically switched to the new recommendation system.

• All items you have added will be transferred to the Product Inventory.

• All product properties that you have previously set will be saved.

• All products that were added to Product Shelf and slots in the old recommendation system:

  • will be added to the shelf with the same name in the new recommendation system.

  • these products will be tagged according to the slots to which they have been added previously (see Product Shelf).

• All products that are not attached to any shelf will have tags automatically added to them based on name and description (see Automated Product Tagging).

When switching back to the old recommendation system from the new system:

• All changes to product properties, will be saved.

• All new products will be transferred to Product Inventory 1.0, but will not be attached to any shelf.

• All shelves created in the new recommendation system will not be migrated to the old recommendation system.

• All Skin Consultant Apps that use newly created shelves will not have any shelves attached when migrating to the old recommendation system

• All Skin Consultant Apps that use previously created shelves will be switched to the old shelves when migrating to the old one.
